About Deepvision Engineering

Built on 25 years at the sharp end.

We founded Deepvision Engineering because manufacturers deserve independent machine vision advice from someone who has actually done the work — not a reseller with a quota to hit.

Our Story

Where we come from

Deepvision Engineering was established by a Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of hands-on experience designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial vision systems across UK and European manufacturing.

Over that time, we worked extensively with Cognex vision platforms alongside a broad range of industrial systems — from smart cameras and line-scan inspection to complex multi-camera cells integrated into live production lines. We've seen what works, what fails, and why.

We set up as an independent consultancy because we kept seeing the same problem: manufacturers investing in machine vision systems that were oversold, poorly specified, or simply the wrong tool for the job. The advice they were getting came from people with something to sell. Ours doesn't.

How We Work

Principles we don't compromise on

01

Independence above all

We have no commercial relationships with hardware vendors, software providers, or system integrators. Every recommendation we make is based solely on what is right for your application.

02

Honest feasibility

We will tell you when machine vision is not the right answer. If a simpler or cheaper solution exists, we'll say so. Our value is in giving you the truth, not in generating project fees.

03

Plain language

We translate complex vision engineering into clear, actionable advice. No jargon, no unnecessary complexity — just a clear picture of what's possible and what it will take.

04

Your interests, always

Whether we're writing your RFQ, reviewing a supplier proposal, or auditing an existing system — we act as your technical representative. Your outcome is our only measure of success.
